This is the studio version of the track that appears on our album "Communion." Originally this track was to appear on a compilation album that didn't quite pan out. We had this song with a lot of great musicians on it and we didn't have anywhere to put it. It was a sad song with no where to go. So in true RAIC fashion we decided to build a whole album around this track along with other songs that didn't quite have anywhere else to go.
This was an ensemble for an idea I had bouncing around my head for at least a year. I have been deeply influenced by Ennio Morricone for decades. I wanted to somehow pay homage to the seminal trilogy of films the Italian film composer scored for Giallo master Dario Argento. What started as a proposed duo between myself and Zoe turned into something bigger until it became a six member ensemble that we debuted January 14, 2017 at Gallery 5 in Richmond, VA.
